“Hiyo ni mambo ya mwenyezi Mungu”:
that was Twahir’s answer when on arrival at JKIA he was asked to give a reason for Harambee Stars’ dismal perfomance against minnows Guinea Bissau.
Inexplicably Twahir chose the indisciplined Oliech as captain while in midflight to the chagrin of the rest of the squad, it didn’t seem to matter to the coach that the menace had deliberately chosen to miss training and instead cruise around in his Chrysler.
The team preffered Mambo or Mariga or Awilo to wear the arm band and I can see exactly why.
So the team landed in Guinea at around 3am. On reaching the hotel at around 4am, Oliech demanded that they put their bags in the rooms and come out to warm up and stretch immediately. Mariga akasema surely lazima walale kidogo kama 3 hours wapumzike. Dennis akakataa. Captain akaulizwa alikuwa wapi watu wakitrain the last two days, kama anajiskia hiyo tizi haikutosha yeye aende warm up pekee yake coz alikuwa AWOL.
Argument ikaendelea almost hadi 7am. Twahir did nothing, just stood by smiling sheepishy, labda it’s because the arguement might have been in English na hashiki.
Eventually wengine wakaenda kulala. Wanne wakaenda ku-warm na captain marvel.
After kuchapwa, captain marvel akadai Mariga hakumpatia pass hata moja.
Mariga naye anasema captain made himself unavailabe every time he got the ball. Akaachana naye.
Basically mahali kumefika, Mariga anasema he is seriously considering quitting the national team kwa sababu ya upuzi mob za KFF na wachezaji wengine ambao ni kama wako wivu ama wanafikiri ni popularity contest.
Epic fail kabisa hii….
